Police located Park Won-soon’s body in wooded hills in northern Seoul, more than seven hours after they launched a massive search for him.

Russian governor charged with
murder: A provincial governor in Russia’s far east has been arrested on charges of involvement in multiple murders, officials said Thursday. Sergei Furgal, the governor of the Khabarovsk region along the border with China, was arrested in Khabarovsk and was flown to Moscow.

Cohen returns to prison: President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, returned to federal prison, weeks after his early release to serve the remainder of his sentence at home because of the pandemic. The Bureau of Prisons said Cohen had “refused the conditions of his home confinement and as a result, has been returned” to prison.

Woman charged: An Indiana woman was charged in a hit-andrun crash that sent one woman to the hospital and caused minor injuries to a man during a protest over the assault of a Black man. Christi Bennett, 66, was charged with two counts of criminal recklessness, both felonies, and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor.

DOJ wants Stone in prison: The Justice Department said Roger Stone should report to prison Tuesday despite his concerns about the deadly coronavirus. Stone has asked a federal appeals court to extend to Sept. 3 the date on which he must surrender to a federal prison in Jesup, Georgia, to begin serving a 40-month prison sentence for lying in a congressional investigation.
