For many, the coronavirus pandemic has caused or increased economic hardship. Being out of work because of illness, shutdowns or caring for vulnerable family members has increased monetary strain in vulnerable communities. Action Ministries is a Georgia nonprofit that works within communities to address the challenges of poverty by delivering meals, housing and educational resources.

“Action Ministries serves more than 40,000 households each year, most of which are our most vulnerable citizens. They have, unfortunately, been hit the hardest in the wake of the pandemic,” said Shakura Conoly, the chief community engagement officer of Action Ministries. “It is important that we continue to fill this gap, especially now, as it is widening.”

The pandemic has affected Action Ministries’ funding, so now more than ever, donations are very appreciated.
