he Lilburn ity Council recently chose Lichty Commercial Constructi­on, Inc. to build the Lilburn Pavilion on the former police headquarte­rs site at 76 Main St. The Atlanta-based company was one of nine responsive bidders for the project.

The council approved the base contract amount of $1,033,807 with an added lighting protection cost of $8,537. The pavilion is funded by the city’s Capital Projects Fund.

The open-air Calvin Fitchett Pavilion, designed by Precision Planning Inc., will be a 3,000+/- square foot facility and will include restrooms and other public amenities. One highlight of the new building will be a clock

TCtower with a decorative finial. Visitors will be able to view the clocks from both Main Street and the park lawn.
