Fayette County Public Schools is giving parents until Wednesday to note how they want their children to resume fall classes, which are currently scheduled to start Aug. 10. An online survey offers three options — all virtual, all on-site or a combination of the two — but the school system says those options could narrow to just virtual or the hybrid model based on the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county. The survey link and an updated list of questions and answersabout various logistics are on the homepage of www.fcboe.org. Parents who already responded to the survey using a link sent to them by email can take it again if they have changed their minds; a survey should be completed for each child using the student’s ID number. Those who choose the all-virtual option must complete an online application for that program, the link to which is in the survey. The county says it is still working on how to provide AP courses online. the Call Center at 1-800-847-4262 (8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays) for an appointment.
