The cuts are to three NCAA sports (men’s indoor track, men’s tennis and women’s water polo) and four non-NCAA sports (men’s rowing, men’s and women’s squash, and sailing). The moves, the university said, help offset an estimated $200 million deficit in athletics.

4 PRO FOOTBALL: Jayron Kearse of the Detroit Lions has been suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the 2020 regular season for violating league policy on substance abuse.
