Buyer’s Edge

Where can I find it?

- By Sabine Morrow

Q: You have helped so many find what they are looking for, and I hope you can help me. I have two Tiffany-style lamps that have broken shades. I would be so appreciative if you could locate someone in my area who repairs this type of lampshade. Thank you for your column. — Gayle Guzior, Marietta

A: Thanks so much for reading, Gayle. I know someone with more than 25 years of experience who restores and creates beautiful leaded and stained glass windows, and she also repairs lampshades. Call Stephanie Farrow at Daylight Stained Glass and Repair, 5085 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, 404-786-5457. Check out her website at daylightglass.com to see examples of her work.

Q: For years, my local Publix has been carrying Taylors of Harrowgate Yorkshire Tea, a wonderful strong British tea. But now, in COVID times, the store seems to have stopped carrying it. I really don’t want to have to resort to ordering the tea online and paying shipping costs. Does someone else, preferably in town, carry this tea? Thanks! — Betsy Shackelford, Decatur

A: Betsy, absolutely. You’ll find your black tea at Taste of Britain, 73 S. Peachtree St., Norcross, 770-242-8585. The shop stocks a slew of Taylors of Harrowgate teas, including the Yorkshire variety. You can get a box of 80 bags of the red Taylors of Harrowgate Yorkshire Tea for $10.99. The shop also carries 8.8-ounce bags of loose tea for $9.99. Taste of Britain sells the gold version too. The Yorkshire tea was introduced in 1977, and it’s now one of Britain’s top-sellers.

Q: I began unpacking my lights and ornaments for my Christmas tree and saw that some of my bubble lights were broken. I know these are difficult to find, especially closer to the holidays you get. I want to check if they are available locally. My set had seven lights on a string, and that’s what I’d like to find. Thank you. — C. Perry, email

A: I found Celebration multi-color bubble light sets at General Ace Hardware, 4218 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, 404-237-5209. However, the store hadn’t put them on the shelves when I checked, so I couldn’t get a price, but the Ace website has them for $14.99. These feature seven lights on a 7-foot string with 12-inch spacings between the lights. Having trouble finding a particular item? Sabine Morrow will try to help you locate it.
