Hundreds of Cobb County teachers and staff (above) protest Thursday during the school board meeting at Cobb County School District offices in Marietta. They are pressing the district for improved response to COVID-19. A teacher (right) who declined to be identified dressed as the Grim Reaper to highlight the U.S. death toll. Cobb schools last week canceled in-person learning through today due to the a large number of students and staff diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed to the illness. The rise in cases around Cobb has renewed parent and teacher calls for the district to cancel in-person learning.
