PRO BASKETBALL: Kevin Porter Jr. is no longer a problem for the Cavaliers. Cleveland has agreed to trade the troubled forward to the Houston Rockets for a future draft pick, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Thursday night. The Cavs will send Porter, the 2019 first-round draft pick who hasn’t played this season and recently had an outburst in the team’s locker room, to the Rockets for a protected second-round pick. The trade has to be approved by the NBA.

PRO HOCKEY: Washington played Friday night’s game against Buffalo without captain Alex Ovechkin, No. 1 center Evgeny Kuznetsov, top-four defenseman Dmitry Orlov and goaltender Ilya Samsonov because of COVID-19 protocols, coach Peter Laviolette said. The four Russians are also expected to miss the Capitals’ next three games.

PRO SOCCER:

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for the coronaviru­s, the Spanish club said Friday. The announceme­nt came two days after Zidane coached the team in a 2-1 loss at third-tier Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey. Assistant coach David Bettoni will coach Madrid at Alavés today.

PRO GOLF:

Retief Goosen birdied 10 of the first 14 holes in a 10-under 62 to take the first-round lead Thursday in the Mitsubishi Electric Championsh­ip in Hawaii. Darren Clarke was second after a 63, and Scott Parel and Jerry Kelly shot 64.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

USC postponed its game against Stanford on Thursday due to a suspected Covid-19-related issue within the Trojans program. The announceme­nt came within an hour of the scheduled tip in Santa Cruz, California. The Pac12 will work with the schools to try to reschedule the game.
