8 die on boat adrift at sea: 2 India’s coast guard has found a boat adrift in the Andaman Sea carrying scores of Rohingya refugees, including eight who had died, officials said. The boat left Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on Feb. 11 with 90 people, including 23 children, on board, and its engine failed on Feb. 15. Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava said 81 people were found alive on the boat and received food, water and medical care. One refugee was missing.

Census lawsuit: Ohio i s suing 3 the U.S. Census Bureau over its decision to delay the release of redistrict­ing data by six months. The lawsuit seeks to force the bureau to release the data by its original March 31 deadline, or at least sooner than Sept. 30, the date the bureau has said it will release the numbers.

Italy mourns attack victims: 4 Italy paid tribute to its ambassador to Congo and his bodyguard who were killed in an attack on a U.N. convoy, honoring them with a state funeral and prayers for peace in Congo and all nations“torn by war and violence.” Ambassador Luca Attanasio and Vittorio Iacovacci were killed Monday as they traveled to a World Food Program school feeding project. The WFP’S Congolese driver, Moustapha Milambo, also was killed.
