Drive up: free tax preparatio­n services. 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday through April 10. The Church of Christ at Schaffer Road, 554 Schaffer Road, Marietta. These services are being offered to people making $57,000 or less or those with disabiliti­es as a part of the federally funded Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program by Irs-certified volunteers. Due to COVID-19, participan­ts will complete intake forms and provide necessary documents from their vehicles. No appointmen­t is necessary, and no returns will be prepared on-site. Participan­ts need to bring their photo ID, Social Security card, proof of Foreign Status, wage and earning statements (Forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099Misc), all Forms 1095, health insurance statements, a copy of last year’s federal and state returns and the routing and account numbers for direct deposit of refund. Irs-certified volunteers will prepare the tax returns online. Then in one to two weeks, participan­ts should return to review and finalize their returns. ■Seeking exercise equipment for L’arche Atlanta’s home gym. This nonprofit is based in Decatur, providing housing to people with and without disabiliti­es. There are more than 154 communitie­s and 19 projects in 38 countries around the world from Belgium to Argentina, Uganda to Japan and tothe United States.
