Buyer’s Edge Where can I find it?

- By Sabine Morrow

Q: Are there any places you’d recommend — anywhere in the metro area — that handle sweater reweaving of wool and cashmere sweaters? I found a vendor a few years ago in Washington state that does amazing work, but they are backlogged through the end of 2021, and I’d like a local source. Thanks. — Jennifer Daughtry, email

A: Jennifer, Sauls Alterations, 3655 Roswell Road, Atlanta, 404266-8611, has been in business for decades. This shop not only works on leather, suede, bridalwear and jeans, but it also offers reweaving and reknitting services. You’ll have to bring your sweaters to Sauls to get an accurate quote for the services. Q: Can you tell me where to get this contraption. I don’t know what to call it except that it is a stand for an iPad or iPhone. At the bottom, there is a battery that can be hooked up. — Duwayne Dukes, Smyrna

A: Duwayne, the photo you sent me is of a podium-style stand by Vista Shops for iPads, iPhones and other tablets. The base contains a battery backup, and the flexible stand allows you to pose it in various positions, giving you optimum viewing angles. It folds fairly flat, making it convenient to stash in a backpack, luggage or handbag. This item is pretty much sold out everywhere. However, there are two colors available through walmart.com. The price for the pink model, like the one you have, is $76.47, and the shipping is free. The stand is shipped from Open Sky, and if you go to that website, you’ll find it available for $167.97.

Q: I am looking for a plain tin pan that bakes two baguettes side by side. The pan I want is not fancy or nonstick, and it doesn’t have holes, but it is the ideal pan for this bread. The brand is Fox Run. I’ve tried to find it, but the one I see online is for Italian bread, and it is 4 inches wide. I want the skinny one, and I’d prefer to shop in the metro area. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. — Marge Johnson, email

A: Marge, I found your double baguette pan by Fox Run. It measures 18 by 2.75 inches, and it’s made of heavy-gauge metal. It’s available for $7.99 at Cake Art, 3744 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, 770-493-1305.
