Appointed in 2019, she has been reappointe­d as the 23rd U. S. poet laureate by the Library of Congress. Harjo also is a renowned musician, writer and member of the Muscogee ( Creek) Nation. Harjo is presented by the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library Reading Series. She is hosted by Emory University’s Rose Library.
