SOCCER: Manchester United’s jerseys will be sponsored by a technology company providing remote- access computer software after the Premier League club announced Friday that Teamviewer will replace Chevrolet. The five- year deal starting next season sees a less well- known brand replacing the car giant. It is expected to earn United more than $ 60 million a year — around a fifth less than the Chevrolet deal.

PRO BASKETBALL: Portland’s Damian Lillard has more than 16,000 points, joining Kevin Durant and Lebron James as the only players with as many points in their first nine NBA seasons. He scored 36 points Thursday night.

PRO FOOTBALL: Cody Parkey was steady and mostly straight kicking for the Browns last season. They’re going to see if he can do it again. Parkey agreed to re- sign for 2021 with Cleveland on Friday, returning to the team after beginning last season on the practice squad. The 29- yearold took over after the Browns released Austin Siebert following a missed field goal and extra point in the opener at Baltimore.

BOXING: Canelo Alvarez will return to AT& T Stadium for a world super middleweig­ht unificatio­n fight May 8 against undefeated Billy Joe Saunders. Mexico’s Alvarez regularly fights on or near Cinco de Mayo, though the coronaviru­s pandemic prevented such a bout last year. He’ll bring his WBC and WBA titles into the ring against British favorite Saunders, the WBO champion.

CYCLING: British medical authoritie­s Friday banned the former doctor of the British Olympic program and the Tour de France- winning Team Sky after he was found to have covered up the order of a drug intended to boost a rider’s performanc­e.
