A reader is frustrated with traffic lights.

“Why do we have traffic lights at the intersecti­on of Currier and Piedmont? The Civic Center has been closed for years, so what is the need? There is more vehicle and pedestrian traffic at Renaissanc­e Parkway and Piedmont ... move the traf- fic lights,” wrote Bill Worth.

“Here in Henry County, there have been so many roundabout­s built that it is becoming a joke. The county will be one big roundabout in the near future,” wrote John Page.

He said GDOT plans to place two roundabout­s within 400 feet of each other to improve traffic flow and accidents.

“But if GDOT would only change five streets, each section less than 1,000 feet, to one-way traffic, it would solve the total problem,” he added.
