STATEWIDE Georgia DNR releases hunting seasons guide

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division recently released the 20212022 Georgia Hunting Seasons and Regulation­s Guide. It is available online, on the app, and in print, according to a press release.

Some of the major changes to the hunting regulation­s this year include:

Antler Restrictio­ns Bear Harvest - Reporting and Season

Dove Season Extended Archery Season New Public Hunting Opportunit­ies

Turkey Season and Bag Limit WMA Small Game

Members of the Board of Natural Resources enact hunting regulation­s by acting on recommenda­tions made by the Division’s profession­al wildlife biologists. Georgia’s game and fish laws are enacted by the elected members of the General Assembly.
