1 Sudanese rally to demand leaders leave: Thousands of Sudanese took to the streets on Thursday in the capital of Khartoum, renewing their demand for a fully civilian government and denouncing the country’s military rulers who were behind the October coup. The protests came just days after the military signed a new powershari­ng deal with the prime minister, after releasing him from house arrest and reinstatin­g him as head of government.

2 Blast kills at least 8: A large explosion outside a school in Somalia’s capital on Thursday killed at least eight people, including students, witnesses said. The extremist group al-Shabab claimed responsibi­lity for the attack. The al-qaidalinke­d group controls large parts of rural Somalia and continues to frustrate efforts at rebuilding the Horn of Africa nation after three decades of conflict.

3 Polyp removed from Biden’s colon: The polyp removed from President Joe Biden’s colon on Friday as part of his routine physical requires “no further action” and has been identified as a tubular adenoma, the White House disclosed late Wednesday. Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’connor, described it as “a potentiall­y pre-cancerous lesion” and recommende­d that “routine surveillan­ce” should continue, in a brief memo released with permission from Biden.

4 Grab-and-run theft hits Nordstrom: Thieves rushed into a Southern California Nordstrom store the night before Thanksgivi­ng and ran off with pricey goods in the latest of a string of organized retail thefts. Five people, one wearing an orange wig, entered the open store shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Westfield Topanga Mall in the Canoga Park area of Los Angeles, took seven or eight expensive purses and fled in a car, police said.
