PRO FOOTBALL: Free agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, 29, agreed to re-sign with the Cleveland Browns, a person familiar with the deal told the Associated Press. Clowney, who revived his career last season with Cleveland, will sign a one-year contract worth up to $11 million, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity. Clowney, the 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick, had nine sacks — his most since 2018 — and played in 14 games last season after signing a one-year, $10 million deal with incentives.

PRO SOCCER: Tottenham clinched Champions League qualificat­ion with a 5-0 win over relegated Norwich in the last round of the Premier League on Sunday. Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski both scored twice and Harry Kane got the other goal as the visiting Spurs finished fourth, two points ahead of Arsenal, which defeated visiting Everton 5-1.

PRO SOCCER: Liverpool’s

Mohamed Salah and Tottenham’s Son Heung-min finished the Premier League season tied as the top scorers with 23 goals. Salah has captured the Golden Boot on three occasions. It is the first time Son has topped the scoring chart.

SWIMMING: Olympic gold medalist Ariarne Titmus broke the women’s 400-meter freestyle world record at the Australian swimming championsh­ips in Adelaide. Titmus finished in 3 minutes, 56.40 seconds in Sunday night’s final to improve on American Katie Ledecky’s previous mark of 3:56.46 set at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

PRO HOCKEY: Bryan Rust is staying in Pittsburgh. The forward, who was scheduled to become a free agent this summer, agreed to a six-year contract through 2028, with an average annual value of $5.125 million. Rust, 30, scored 24 goals to go with a career-best 34 assists this season.
