1 Sweden denies helping Kurdish groups:

Sweden on Tuesday denied it was providing any “financial assistance or military support” to Kurdish groups or entities in Syria — claims Turkey is using to back its opposition to Sweden’s and neighborin­g Finland’s historic bids to join NATO. The denial came as delegation­s from Sweden and Finland were expected in the Turkish capital, Ankara, for talks with Turkish officials today.

2 Snap warning sinks social media stocks:

A stark profit warning from Snapchat’s parent company spooked investors into dumping the stocks of major social media companies. Snap plummeted 40.5%, while Facebook’s parent, Meta, slumped 8.8%. Google’s parent fell 8.5% as of noon.

3 Surfside owners’ payout boosted:

People who owned condominiu­ms in the Florida building that collapsed almost a year ago but did not suffer a loss of life will share at least $96 million from a court settlement, a judge said Tuesday. The initial amount for property owners — as opposed to families of the 98 victims of the June 24 collapse at Surfside — was set at $83 million.

4 Indiana lawmakers to override transgende­r veto:

The Republican-dominated Indiana Legislatur­e was poised Tuesday to override the GOP governor’s veto of a bill banning transgende­r students from competing in girls sports, which would mean Indiana would join more than a dozen states that have adopted similar laws in the past two years.

5 Airbnb to drop China listings:

Airbnb Inc. will stop listing homes and experience­s inside China this summer and instead focus its business in the country on serving Chinese tourists looking for lodgings abroad, a company official said Tuesday. Airbnb began listings in China in 2016, but they have accounted for only about 1% of company revenue.
