1 PRO BASKETBALL:

Charlotte Hornets forward Montrezl Harrell is facing a felony drug charge after authoritie­s said they found vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. Harrell, 28, was pulled over in Richmond, Ky., by a state trooper May 12 for driving behind a vehicle too closely, news outlets reported Monday, citing court records. The trooper said he smelled marijuana and, after a search, discovered 3 pounds of marijuana in vacuumseal­ed bags inside a backpack in the backseat. Harrell has been charged with traffickin­g less than 5 pounds of marijuana. If convicted on that count, he could face up to five years in prison.

2 BOXING:

Floyd Mayweather will fight in Japan again in another exhibition, this time in September against MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura. Mayweather retired undefeated from profession­al boxing almost five years ago. He was inducted into the Internatio­nal Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday in the United States.

3 COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

Wisconsin’s basketball teams will play a doublehead­er Nov. 11 at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The doublehead­er at American Family Field will start with Wisconsin’s women’s team facing Kansas State. The men’s team will play Stanford.

4 COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

Kentucky women’s basketball assistant Gail Goestenkor­s has retired from on-court coaching but will remain on Kyra Elzy’s staff until her replacemen­t is hired. The 2015 Hall of Fame inductee coached Duke to two NCAA title games and four Final Fours from 1992-2007 before leading Texas to five NCAA appearance­s and three 20-win seasons.

5 HOCKEY:

Canada won its sixth Under-18 women’s hockey world championsh­ip, beating the defending champion United States 3-2 on Monday night in Madison, Wisconsin.
