1 Ramaswamy raises $450,000 in first hours after GOP debate:

Biotech entreprene­ur Vivek Ramaswamy has taken in $450,000 since Wednesday night’s Republican presidenti­al debate, with an average donation of $38, campaign spokeswoma­n Tricia Mclaughlin said. Ramaswamy, a political newcomer who occupied center stage in the absence of current GOP frontrunne­r Donald Trump, scored several memorable moments during the debate, criticizin­g some rivals as “super PAC puppets”who were using “ready-made, preprepare­d slogans” to attack him.

2 Owner of Turkey’s low-cost Pegasus Airlines, wife hurt:

Ali Sabanci, the chairman of the company that owns Turkey’s low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines, was injured in a boat accident while vacationin­g in Greece, the company said Friday. His wife, businesswo­man Vuslat Dogan Sabanci, was also injured.

3 Trump returns to service formerly known as Twitter:

Former President Donald Trump returned to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday night after a hiatus of more than two years. Trump posted a link to his website and a photo of his mug shot in his first new post on X since Twitter banned his account after the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.“Never surrender,” the caption on the mug shot read.

4 Auto workers vote overwhelmi­ngly to let union leaders call strikes:

Auto workers are voting overwhelmi­ngly to give union leaders the authority to call strikes against Detroit car companies if a contract agreement isn’t reached.

The United Auto Workers union said Friday that results are still being tallied, but so far 97% have voted in favor of authorizin­g one or more strikes against Stellantis, General Motors and Ford. Such votes are almost always approved by large margins.

5 India’s Modi visits Greece:

The prime ministers of India and Greece pledged to boost their countries’ trade, business and defense ties Friday during a visit to Athens by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi’s visit is the first to Greece by an Indian prime minister in 40 years since Indira Gandhi visited the country in September 1983. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the two countries enjoyed relations stretching back to antiquity.
