St. Vincent De Paul Homeless Center, 316 Baker St., will hold its annual Fall BBQ on Oct. 1. The barbecue will be a drive-thru event this year due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns. The menu will be a traditiona­l barbecue with Angus beef New York steak or teriyaki chicken, Wool Growers salad, Pyrenees French Bakery rolls, beans and Smith’s Bakery cobbler, Drive-thru service will be offered from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $30, available at the St. Vincent Center, St. Vincent Thrift Store, online at svdpbakers­field.org or from a committee member. Reservatio­ns are requested due to the type of event. Proceeds from the fundraiser support the center in assisting the homeless and less fortunate in our community.
