Laura “Gram” Clark was born on December 7th, 1930, in South Gate, California and went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2021.

Love most aptly describes the ethos she lived by, and the legacy she leaves. It is how everyone remembers her: family, friends and acquaintances. She treated everybody with love. Her home was the preferred place for family and friends and a place of refuge where all could find comfort, sound advise, and encouragement. The consummate optimist, you always left her home a happier and more confident person than when you came.

Gram enjoyed decorating and was very competent in related endeavors.

Professionally, Gram enjoyed and thrived in three completely separate careers. She began in nursing, where she specialized in ophthalmology and finding her true passion. After birthing and raising five children, she transitioned into real estate with her youngest daughter. Her approach to realty was like everything else, she didn’t build a client base, she just gained more friends.

In addition to leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and care, Gram is survived by her children; Claudia McKirdy and husband Doug, of Bakersfield, Dan Hudgins of Cleburne, Tx, Jim Hudgins of Bakersfield, Jeff Clark of Bakersfield and wife Palai of Bangkok, Thailand and Cyndi and husband Dr. Firooz Amjadi, MD also of Bakersfield, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.

Family, friends, acquaintances, and associates are all encouraged to share fond memories with the family via email at atigger@hotmail.com
