BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Karl Nicholas scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Texas Southern placed five in double-figure scoring to upset top-seeded Prairie View A&M 80-61.

INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State guard Duane Washington Jr. had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists, helping the No. 9 Buckeyes fend off the fourth-ranked Wolverines for a 68-67 victory.
Kofi Cockburn scored 18 of his 26 points in the first half, and No. 3 Illinois beat No. 5 Iowa 82-71.
AACC SEMIFINALS
FORT WORTH, Texas — Justin Gorham scored 15 points, including four free throws in the final 27 seconds, and No. 7 Houston beat Memphis 76-74 on Saturday to advance to its third consecutive conference tournament final.
Mason Madsen had a team-high 10 points for short-handed Cincinnati, which overcame missing its last three free-throw attempts and held on to beat top-seeded Wichita State 60-59 on Saturday to advance to its fourth consecutive conference tournament final.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Cameron Thomas scored 21 points and third-seeded LSU upset eighth-ranked Arkansas 78-71 for the first time since 1993.
Herbert Jones had 21 points and No. 6 Alabama rallied from a 15-point deficit in the second half to beat Tennessee 73-68.
