The topic is “Prayer.” At the meeting, prayers and writings/scriptures from different faiths are offered for all affected by recent difficulti­es facing humanity. Palm Sunday will be celebrated with Emmanuel’s 9 a.m. in-person parking lot service, which requires masks, social distancing and bringing one’s own seating. On Good Friday, the community is invited to view and pray the Stations of the Cross in the sanctuary from noon until 6 p.m. Easter Sunday will be celebrated in two parking lot services, sunrise at 6 a.m. and at 9 a.m. 323-3355. First Presbyteri­an Church, on the corner of Truxtun Avenue and H Street, will have in-person services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary. GriefShare, a weekly seminar and support group for men and women grieving the death of someone close, is being held Sundays at Riverlakes Church, 4301 Calloway Drive. It’s a place to be around people who understand what you are feeling. Work through your grief and renew your hope as we journey from mourning unto joy. Sessions are held 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays through April 18 (except April 4).
