T Tracy S Spiridakos dk was b born to restaurant­owning parents on Feb. 20, 1988, in Winnipeg, Canada. She has two brothers, and the entire family moved to her father’s hometown in Greece when she was very young, then returned to Canada. She began performing while in junior high school and took additional acting lessons.

Soon after moving to Vancouver to begin her profession­al career, Spiridakos landed a guest role on “Supernatur­al,” and she then added parts on “Bionic Woman,” “Aliens in America,” “The L Word,” “Psych,” “Hellcats” and “Being Human” to her resume. She followed those by starring in the Canadian series “Majority Rules!” and appearing in the Nickelodeo­n movie “Rags.”

After making her movie debut in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” Spiridakos was cast in the drama series “Revolution,” playing a survivalis­t in a ravaged world of the future. She later took parts on the shows “Episodes” and “Bates Motel,” and she had a recurring role on the reboot of “MacGyver” during its first season,

Toward the end of Season 4 of NBC’s“Chicago P.D.,” Spiridakos was introduced as Detective Hailey Upton, and she was made a full cast regular when the police drama returned for its fifth year. Upton initially was partnered with Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush), and for all intents and purposes, she succeeded Lindsay on Sgt. Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) team when Lindsay joined the FBI and left Chicago.
