On Saturday June 18, 2022, Barbara Christine Doyle-Mouser took her final breath.

Our beautiful mother, wife, and friend came into this world on March 13, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to Christine Palmer-Doyle and Hubert Doyle. Her sister, Marilyn Doyle-Waggoner soon joined the family.

Barbara was part of Bakersfield College's first RN class, and graduated in 1959. She received her bachelor's in nursing from CSUB, her master's degree from CSU, Dominguez Hills, and her nurse practitioner's degree from CSUB. She spent the next 50 years working as a nurse in local hospitals, public health, mental health, and as a professor at California State University, Bakersfield.

Barbara met the love of her life, Hugh Mouser at Bakersfield College. They began their life together on December 23, 1958. Their family expanded with the arrival of Tracie Lynn Mouser (Grimes), Lance Allen Mouser, and Jay Marvin Mouser (Mauser).

In addition to being a strong woman of God and an amazing mother, Barbara was a genius-level intellect, talented pianist, and artist.

With the arrival of their six beloved grandchildren, Lenna Christine Grimes, Lauren Jeanine Grimes, Sarah Jane Grimes, Jeffrey Allen Grimes, Amberlea Lynn Mouser, and Maia Therese Mouser, they became known as “Muzzy” (Barbara) and “Fuzzy” (Hugh).

Hugh, Tracie (husband James Grimes), Lance (wife Tracy Mouser), Jay and (wife Lenore Mauser), and their grandchildren invite friends and family as they celebrate Barbara's beautiful life at 10 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at The Grove, 6000 Park Place Drive, Bakersfield, CA.
