MATTHEW DEAN LOGAN

August 11, 1971 – December 9, 2022

Matthew Dean Logan was born in Bakersfield, California on August 11, 1971 and peacefully passed on December 9, 2022 in the hearts and thoughts of many.

Born in Bakersfield, CA to parents Regina and Gary Logan, Matt was charismatic, tenacious, and full of love throughout his entire life.

Matt was an incredibly skilled musician who took every opportunity to show others how music changes the world and has the ability to change others for the better. His passion and love for guitar touched and inspired so many to pick up the instrument themselves and listen to music with empathy and openness.

Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Matt would all agree that there are few people that could make someone laugh as hard as he could. His humor and laugh was infectious, creating lasting memories with friends and family that we are all grateful for.

His loving heart, endless energy, and creative spirit will be missed.

Matt is survived by father: Gary Logan, step-mother: Sheila Logan, children: Cody Logan, Teresa Gammon, son-in-law: Chance Gammon and grandchildren: Tristan and Juliet Gammon. As well as his faithful friend Herschel.

Our family and friends would like to thank Marion and the rest of Hoffmann Hospice for keeping Matt comfortable and loved during his final days. We are forever appreciative.

A service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Fruitvale Norris Park (6221 Norris Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93308) in the Recreational Facility Room from 4pm-6pm. Please come by during that time to share your favorite memories of Matt, a eulogy and song will be presented at 5pm.
