LIBERAL DEMOCRATS ARE THREATS TO DEMOCRACY

I too must weigh in on the opinion of Bob Goon bemoaning Sheriff Donny Youngblood responding to a reporter’s question regarding banning the right of CCW holders to carry firearms in public places in California.

First, law enforcement officers do have discretion in enforcing laws upon written consent of the sheriff or chief of police. Second, the Democrat Legislature passed this clearly unconstitutional law with Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom signing it.

Third, the safety of these law-abiding CCW holders, many ex-law enforcement or associated with law enforcement, and the judiciary were put in jeopardy when California Attorney General Rob Bonta outed them by publishing their names and addresses on the internet. The proof that they were and are endangered is that Bonta paid for one year of dark web protection for those that were outed either by his malicious intent or stupidity.

Fourth, a recent letter from a correctional officer has indicated that criminals are not being prosecuted and incarcerated due to Proposition 47. Fifth, rulings by the Ninth District Court of Appeals, the most overturned court in the land, are continuously reversed by the Supreme Court. How can any law enforcement agency that operates under their authority enforce a law that is constantly under review and pending appeal?

Finally, I find funny that people of his way of thinking decry Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans as threats to democracy, when it is these liberal Democrats that are threats to democracy, — Gregory Laskowski, Bakersfield
