Material girl Madonna coming back to New York, Philly. Here’s when
The Celebration is on.
Madonna’s Celebration Tour is a go now that the pop icon is on the mend. Madonna suffered a bacterial infection that left her hospitalized in June and the initial North American dates were postponed. The new ones have been announced and they take place after the previously scheduled European dates.
Area shows now include Dec. 13 and
14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which are the original dates, and Dec. 16 at Barclays, which was originally scheduled for Aug. 27 at Madison Square Garden, in a venue change.
Fans holding tickets to the previously scheduled MSG concert on Aug. 27 will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to the newly added Barclays Center performance on Dec.
16, according to promoter Live Nation. Tickets for the original show at MSG will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser by Monday, Aug. 28, and Ticketmaster will then provide all affected fans with a dedicated link and a unique code based on the quality of their previous seat locations to purchase tickets to the new date at Barclays.
Presales for the Dec. 16 Barclays show begin Tuesday, Aug. 29, and run through Thursday, Aug. 31. If tickets remain, they will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, through Ticketmaster.
Other 2024 area shows include Jan.
22, 23 and 29 at Madison Square Garden, rescheduled from the 2023 shows on Aug. 23, 24 and 26, respectively. The Material Girl also plays Jan. 25, 2024, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, rescheduled from Dec. 20, 2023. Tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates.
Resale tickets begin at $120 on Ticketmaster for the tour. Due to scheduling conflicts, shows July 27 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dec. 22 in Nashville; Jan. 15,
2024, in San Francisco; Jan. 18 in Las Vegas; and Jan. 20 in Phoenix have been canceled. Refunds for the dates will be issued at the original point of purchase.
The Celebration Tour will now begin Oct. 14 at the O2 for a run in London, followed by shows in Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The North American leg will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in Brooklyn.
