CRESSKILL - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, J. Gloria Pecci (nee Alessi) of Cresskill, on December 23 2023. Beloved wife of Gabriel Pecci. Born on August 15, 1923, Gloria lived a life filled with love, compassion, and strength. Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmothe­r, and great-grandmothe­r to six children, twelve great grandchild­ren five sons and daughters-in-laws and nine great grandchild­ren. She was a pillar of support for her family, always on babysittin­g duty and offering unwavering support and guidance to her loved ones during both joyous and challengin­g times. She dedicated her life to nurturing her children and creating a warm and loving home. Her love was a source of inspiratio­n for everyone fortunate enough to be touched by it.

Gloria was a member of St. Therese R.C. Church Cresskill. She was a member of the town’s Garden Club, rolled bandages for Englewood Hospital, a driver for Meals on Wheels and a Eucharisti­c Minister at her church. Gloria is also survived by her children, Raymond, and his wife Lucille; Gail; James and his wife Deborah; Terryanne, and her husband Phil; Carol and her husband Gene, along with many grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren. She was predecease­d by her husband, Gabriel, son, Father Ronald Pecci OFM, and son-in-law, Glenn Clark. The family expresses gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Gloria will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and lasting impact she had on her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 12:00, St. Therese Church Cresskill. Viewing at Barrett – Leber Funeral Home, Tenafly NJ from 10:30-11:30 AM, December 28. Interment Brookside Cemetery Englewood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Anthony Guild, 4 Jersey St. East Rutherford NJ 07073.
