Three New Jersey residents are among the list of world billionaires in 2024, according to Forbes.

Rocco Commisso, John Overdeck and Peter Kellogg are on the annual list compiled by the business magazine. This year’s list features a record 2,781 billionaires, with 813 from the United States, the most of any country.

Commisso, 74, boasted a net worth of $7.7 billion as of Wednesday, according to Forbes. He is the founder and CEO of cable company Mediacom and has owned the Italian soccer team Fiorentina since 2019.

An Italian immigrant, Commisso lives in Saddle River and is married with two children.

Overdeck, 54, is a resident of Millburn.

He is worth $7.3 billion as the cofounder of investment company Two Sigma.

Kellogg, 81, has a $4.3 billion net worth thanks largely to his years at the helm of brokerage house Spear, Leeds & Kellogg. He sold the firm to Goldman Sachs for $6.5 billion in 2000 and became CEO of the IAT Reinsurance Company, a position he held until 2015.

Kellogg is still chairman of IAT and lives in Short Hills. He is married with three children.

The richest man in the world is Frenchman Bernard Arnault, whose net worth was $233 billion as of April 2. Arnault, 75, is the founder, chairman and CEO of LVMH, a conglomerate that manages luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and Sephora.

The wealthiest U.S.-based billionaire, at $195 billion as of this month, is Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter) and co-founder of companies including Tesla and SpaceX. A trio of Americans — Jeff Bezos ($194 billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($177 billion) and Larry Ellison ($141 billion) — round out the top 5 on the Forbes list.

In total, the billionaires on this year’s list are worth $14.2 trillion, according to Forbes.

Two-thirds of the group are richer than a year ago, while only a quarter are poorer.
