Culliver is done

-

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver will miss the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. Culliver was injured Thursday during a non-contact drill . . . The Oakland Raiders signed kicker Sebastian Janikowski to a four-year extension, ensuring the franchise’s leading scorer will remain with the team through at least 2017. Janikowski is coming off the best season of his career, when he converted 91.2 percent (31 of 34) of his field goal attempts . . . Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey is sidelined with a possible concussion. Coach Gus Bradley said Mincey was seeing a neurologist for more testing ... Cris Carter is one of seven who will be enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday along with Jonathan Ogden, Larry Allen, Bill Parcells, Warren Sapp, Dave Robinson and Curley Culp. The only member of the Class of 2013 who didn’t win an NFL title, Carter wiped away tears when asked about his career and the fact it took six tries to get elected. ‘‘The only thing I really wish is we could’ve won that championship for those [Vikings fans],’’ said Carter . . . Arizona nose tackle Dan-Williams has a sprained ligament in his right knee and could be sidelined only for a few days. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Williams also sprained his right ankle Thursday during the team’s practice, an injury that could wind up being worse than the knee although it is not a high ankle sprain.
