Of Bridgewate­r, passed away on March 2, 2024. Bill worked for General

Motors Dealership­s for over 40 years before retiring and continuing on to the Plymouth County Sheriff ’s Office for an additional 14 years, retiring as a Sergeant Deputy. He was a past president of the Plymouth County

Police Associatio­n and a longtime member of the Bridgewate­r Veterans Club. Bill proudly obtained his private pilot’s license at 15 years old and enjoyed flying throughout his life. He served on the board of the Plymouth Municipal Airport. Bill thrived in the presence of people. He had a magnetic personalit­y, quick wit and eagerness to help those around him. He is described as being larger than life, full of positivity, laughter and fun. He will be deeply missed.

Beloved husband of 40 years to Kathleen (Randall) Carpenito of Bridgewate­r. Devoted father of Brian Carpenito and his wife, Heather of Hingham and the late William

“Russ” Carpenito. Cherished “Carpa” to Madeline, Ella and Lucia. Loving brother of Mary Mackey and her husband, David of Wareham, Laura Kulas of Weymouth, Katherine

Mason of Taunton, Ellen Carpenito of Attleboro and the late Geraldine McGovern and Robert Carpenito. Brother-in-law of David Randall and his wife, Cheryl of Raynham and Karen Randall of Bridgewate­r. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Visiting Hours on Friday, 4 to 7 PM, at Chapman Funerals and Cremation, 98 Bedford Street, in BRIDGEWATE­R. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, at 10 AM, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewate­r. Burial will be private.
