Dorothy E. ‘Dot’ Cross, 87, formerly of Bechtelsville

Dorothy E. “Dot” (Setzer) Cross, 87, wife of Calvin R. Cross, formerly of Bechtelsville, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Manatawny Manor.

Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Hattie J. (Fish) Setzer.

Dot was a member of St. Andrew UM Church in New Berlinville, Sassmansville Fire Co. Women’s Auxiliary and Gilbertsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, reading and gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband are children Darlene Rauch, wife of Pete, of MO, Cynthia Werstler, wife of Glenn, of Boyertown, Darrel Cross, husband of Angie, of Gilbertsville, and Linda Clancy, wife of Tim, of Gilbertsville; sister Frances Butts; brothers Martin, Harold and Donald Setzer; grandchildren Jennifer, Jim, Larisa, Colleen, Heather, Alyssa, Nathan, Tim, and Morgan; and nine great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Gertrude; brothers Albert and Kenneth; and grandson Geoffrey Werstler.

A funeral service will be Thursday, May 26, 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 611 Swamp Creek Rd, New Berlinville, PA 19545. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dot’s name to St. Andrew UM Church at the above address.
