2016Graduates were recognized in services on June 12. High school graduates recognized were Caitlin Wilson, Kayla Oister, Allison Young, Nikolaus Geiser and Rylee Fluharty. Graduating from higher education institutions are Nicholas Korchowsky, Joshua Moser, Melissa Hausman and Shanna Lafferty. The Bowling Family, a gospel singing group, will perform at the church on Friday, June 17 at 7p.m. Admission is free, an offering will be received. The annual Father’s Day Car Show will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. Admission is free. Boy Scouts meet Monday at 7 p.m. Cub Scouts meet Thursday at 7p.m. AA groups meet at the church on Wednesdays at 8p.m., Thursdays at 12:15p.m. and Saturdays at 10a.m. Al Anon meets in the church on Tuesdays at 8p.m. Shepherd of the Hills Church is located at 527Hoffmansville Road, Bechtelsville.

We are now on our summer worship schedule, with worship at 9a.m. and no Sunday School or Contemporary Worship. Our regular worship schedule will resume on Sunday, Sept. 4. Congratulations and God’s blessings upon the marriage of Damian and Raven (Koons) Kochel, who were married at Trinity on June 4. Raven is the granddaughter of LaRue Sheetz. Relay for Life participants must register online at www.relayforlife.org/PA Boyertown. Register under Trinity Lutheran Church/ Bechtelsville. You will not need to be present the full 24hours. Pete Schmoyer will be in touch with the walkers to schedule their time, we will also need walkers during the overnight. Pledge money will need to be in by June 12and June 19. T-shirts will be distributed June 19. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer the walkers on their way. The Relay is Saturday, June 25at 10a.m. to Sunday, June 26 at 10a.m. Any way you choose to help will be greatly appreciated! Southeast Berks Chapter of Thrivent Financial will provide supplemental funding.
Worship in the Park: July 10, 9 a.m. Join us for a contemporary worship service at the Bechtelsville Community Park. Fellowship picnic and games for all generations to follow. Hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages and paper products will be provided. Guests are asked to bring a side dish or dessert, and lawn chairs. Bring a friend - all welcome! In case of inclement weather, activities will be held in the church. Vacation Bible School is July 25to 29, 6:15to 8:30p.m. “Barnyard Roundup.” Plans are underway for our 2016Vacation Bible School, for children ages three years old through sixth grade. When sponsoring flowers, please use a flower envelope found in the rack in the narthex or clearly mark the envelope “flowers.” If you sponsored flowers in the past but no longer wish to, please let Mary Snyder or the church office know. Please participate in Trinity’s Gift Card Program: Gift card orders will be taken the 1st Sunday of the month. Payment is due with the order. Your gift cards will be available the second Sunday of the month. With every purchase, Trinity earns a percentage of every dollar you spend. Vacation Bible School will be held beginning Monday, June 20and ending Friday, June 24. A free dinner for parents and children will be offered each night at 5:30p.m. before Bible School classes start at 6p.m. and end at 8p.m. The theme for this year’s VBS will be “Cave Quest.” Children ages 3to 11 are invited to participate. The Rev. Paul Chapman will conduct the 8a.m. Holy Communion and the 10:15a.m. Praise Service at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73and Neiffer Road, Obelisk.
