Well, everyone, the time is finally here. The new “Ghostbusters” has arrived and despite all of the public outcry, it’s actually not as bad as people have been expecting it to be.

With the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and yes, especially Chris Hemsworth starring, the new “Ghostbusters” is in safe hands. Add on the fact that director Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids” and “Spy”) is directing, and it’s a fine piece of summer entertainment. It’s funny, fast and has some good action in between.

However, does that make it great? Not really and that’s sort of where the problem lies. The movie has so much to handle, that after awhile, it may feel a bit like overkill. There’s one too many nods to the original, just like there’s way too much science babble that doesn’t make any sense, nor is it supposed to in the first place. I’d definitely look forward to future “Ghostbusters” flicks with this same crew, however, I can only hope that they keep things tighter next time.
