Sunday, Oct. 16: is 22nd Sunday after Pentecost-8 a.m. Worship Service with Communion, 9 a.m., Sunday School, New Members Class, 10:15 a.m. Worship Service with Communion. Firefighters Recognition Sunday: originally scheduled for Sept. 18, has been rescheduled for Sunday Oct. 16. Join us as we thank and honor our local firefighters. A free will offering will be taken after the worship service followed by a covered dish luncheon.
CRAFT SHOW: Please support the craft show on Saturday, Oct. 22, if you are a crafter or know someone who is, also by providing baked goods, donating used books, helping out on the day of the show for an hour or two, or by shopping! Baked goods may be dropped off Friday Oct. 21 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. or Saturday Oct. 22 between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. We ask that you pre-price your goodies. Any questions, please see Cathy Yoder.

The Sr. Breakfast Group: will meet at Woodside Villa on Wednesday at 8, a.m. Anyone over 55 years of age is welcome to join in the fun, food, and fellowship of these “youngsters!” The Worship and Music Committee: will meet Thursday night at 7 p.m. Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neiffer Road, Obelisk Free Community Dinner: will be held Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Worship: The Rev. Paul Chapman will conduct the 8 a.m. Holy Communion and the 10:15 a.m. Praise Service. Members participating in the 8 a.m. Holy Communion Service are David Semmens, Head Usher; Joyce Brothers, Spencer Brothers, Greeters; and Judy Hunsberger, Assisting Minister. The Using the Bible class will be held on this Sunday after the late service. Oct. 20:The assembly of the November Niantic News will be held on Thursday, October 20 beginning at 9a.m. Then at 1p.m. that afternoon, the Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet in the parlor. The Junior GS Troop #1730 and Cadette Troop #1994 will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the social hall. The evening will conclude at 7 p.m. at the Bally Hotel with God on Tap. Oct. 21:The Good Grief Support Group will meet at 1 p.m in the parlor.
