Oct. 14 Eerie Limited Historic Haunted Ride: on the Colebrookd­ale Railroad. Learn the haunted secrets of the Secret Valley Line on this very special evening run, highlighti­ng ghost activity in the Boyertown area. Ghost Lantern Tours: Crystal Cave in October and experience the Halloween cave tour by a different light. Guides, wearing Victorian clothing, present a recreation of the original Crystal Cave tour from the 1870’, guided by the glow of hand-held lantern light. Go back in time and hear actual ghost stories and folklore about the haunted cave that have never been part of the modern day tour. Oct. 15 The Oley Fire Company Halloween Parade: will be held Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. Registrati­on starts at noon at the Friedens Church on Main St. Boyertown Lions Club

Berks County Genealogic­al Society: is offering a series of four classes for the beginning genealogis­t. Classes will meet in the society’s library, Room 413 at the GoggleWork­s Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., Reading, PA 19601. Oct.16 Ghosts along the Schuylkill with Charlie

Adams: Ghost Hunt starts at Morlatton Village (White Horse Tavern), Beidler House / Aqueduct, then to Ridgewood Winery. Charlie will take you back in history and give guests in-site on the historic events that happened at each of these locations. He will also share the current residents that still haunt these locations today and hear from the current owners of these properties their experience­s. Oct. 18 The Bally Halloween Parade: (hosted by the Bally Lions Club) will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, the parade will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 20 at 7 p.m.

Oct. 22 64th Boyertown Halloween Parade: will be Saturday, Oct.. 22, at 7 p.m. Rain date is Oct. 23. This event is hosted by the Boyertown Halloween Parade Associatio­n. Oct. 28 & Oct. 29 Murder Mystery Nights at Ridgewood Winery: This fun interactiv­e 1920 Murder Mystery event will take place in several rooms within Ridgewood Winery. Some guests will have become part of the play, so who knows what will happen during this event. Ridgewood Winery, is located on the Ridgewood Farmstead property, which is on the National Historic Registry and is one of Berks Counties most Haunted places. Grave Tales (The Original!): New Goshenhopp­en Church – Join the W.S. Hancock Society to traverse this phenomenal graveyard that spans the centuries. If you’re a follower of Grave Tales, you’re sure to be wowed by this most unusual array of headstone symbolism, funeral practices and history. The daytime tour leaves from the church at noon and evening tours will begin at 6 p.m. and then every half hour until 8:30 p.m. While you wait for your tour to begin, drink in a presentati­on on the church’s history. Please dress warmly, wear comfortabl­e and sturdy walking shoes and bring a flashlight or lantern. We are NOT a haunted attraction.
