Artisan Holiday Boutique opens Nov. 5 at Clay on Main
Clay on Main art gallery/ studio, located on Main Street in Oley is hosting its annual holiday exhibit and sale this November and December. Members of the co-op studio, teachers, and invited guests will showcase handmade and original works, both functional and decorative, in the gallery. The Artisan Holiday Boutique allows local artists to showcase their fine craft work and allows the community to view the work and do some holiday shopping in an easy-going and friendly environment. Much of the work has been created in Clay on Main’s pottery studio, but viewers should expect to see work in fabric, jewelry, paintings, and edible items as well.
The Boutique opens on Nov. 5 and will be up through Dec.18. In addition to the craft and fine artwork on display, visitors can also look forward to special events such as a cheese tasting with cheesemaker Stephanie Angstadt of Valley Milk House, a family “make and take” porcelain workshop hosted by COM’s Executive Director Dolores Kirschner, and live music at the Half Moon Friday night music events. Details can be found on the studio’s website or facebook.
The Boutique will also be part of the community’s Fall into Winter Tour. The self-guided tour of artisan’s spaces takes place on Nov. 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and includes Boyertown, Oley, Barto, and surrounding areas. For more information, visit studiobbb.org/fall-into-winter.
