Sunday Dec. 4: Second Sunday in Advent. The Adult Bible Study class will meet in the Green Room, beginning at 8:30, a.m. The worship service will begin at 9:30, a.m., and communion will be celebrated. The Senior Choir, directed by our Music Director, Karen Huss, will sing “Come, Child of Peace,” by Schram. The second candle on our Advent wreath will be lighted, and we will sing “Come, Lord Jesus, we are Waiting,” by Christopherson. The church office will be closed on Monday. The Cherub Choir: rehearses Tuesday night at 6:30.

Confirmation Class will be held at 9 a.m. in room I. Those ministering at the 7:45 a.m. service are: Acolyte; Evan Shade, Lector; Terry Flicker, Communion Assist; Roy Hoffman and Greeters/Ushers; Kelly and Shawn Shade. Dec. 4: German Language Advent Candlelight Communion Worship Service will be held at Huff’s Union Church (540 Conrad Road, Alburtis) on Dec. 4at 7 p.m. This service of German lessons and carols will be conducted in the German language, but bulletins will be in German and English, in side by side columns. All welcome. The offering will support the United Church of Christ ecumenical partnership with the German Protestant Church. Dec. 21 Blue Christmas/Longest Night Service: at Huff’s Union Church (540 Conrad Road, Alburtis) Dec. 21 at 4:30 p.m. This brief worship service will contain prayers and scriptures to comfort those who, because of grief or loss, cannot enter into the holiday festivities with joy.
