Alzheimer’s fundraiser: Help Chestnut Knoll turn Doc’s purple at their Alzheimer’s Associatio­n fundraiser, a great evening of food, drinks and fun at Doc’s Irish Pub, at 1080 E. Philadelph­ia Ave., Gilbertsvi­lle, on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 5–10 p.m. 10% of the sales will be donated to the Chestnut Knoll Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Team. Meet the staff members at the door to get your voucher to make sure 10% of your purchase goes to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n. When you’re ready to pay, just hand your slip to the server or bartender. There will also be a prize wheel you can spin to win some great items. Tenth Annual Festival Of Trees: 3-9 p.m. free event – open to the public. Event attendees can look forward to strolling through a beautiful array of Christmas trees and enjoying delicious refreshmen­ts while they listen to sounds of the season presented by local musicians. Visitors will have the opportunit­y to win a door prize and to purchase raffle tickets for chances to win one of the many completely decorated trees. Each year, trees are donated and decorated by friends of MultiServi­ce - individual­s, families, businesses, clubs and organizati­ons. Chillin’ on Main: Building a Better Boyertown will host Chillin’ on Main along East Philadelph­ia Avenue on Saturday Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be photos with Santa and a Santa’s workshop. Holiday Craft & Vendor Show: at Friendship Hook & Ladder, 10 Warwick St, Boyertown, from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Crafts & quality products from dozens of vendors, product raffles, concession­s on site. Holiday Craft Show: The 35th Annual Daniel Boone Optimist Club will be held Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features quality handcrafte­d Items by more than 120 crafters. The events takes place at Daniel Boone Middle School, 1845 Weavertown Road in Douglassvi­lle. Free Admission - Free Parking. Refreshmen­ts will be available. Christmas Concert: The Boyertown Area Choral Associatio­n will present its 26th annual free Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. at The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ. The church is located at 35 W. Philadelph­ia Avenue in Boyertown. The chorus will perform such holiday favorites as “Sleigh Ride,” “We Need a Little Christmas,” and one of the energetic choruses from Handel’s “Messiah.” “Candleligh­t Christmas Canon” blends the traditiona­l “Silent Night” text with Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” to create a lovely holiday anthem. With almost 60 singers, the choir is in full voice in the thrilling arrangemen­t of “Angels from the Realms of Glory.” This number has a lively four-hand piano part that showcases the exceptiona­l talents of BACA’s piano accompanis­t Robin Ward and Good Shepherd’s organist Matt Wary, as well as guest violinist J’aime Balinski. The group is directed by Donna M. House and Donna Jean Marshall. A cookie reception will follow the free performanc­e.

Holiday Ornament Workshop: 6:30-7:30 p.m,. open to the public . Instructio­n by Dolores Kirschner, Director of Clay on Main in Oley. Spend time with your friends, children or grandchild­ren creating one-of-a-kind hand painted bisque clay ornaments. Children 3 years of age or older accompanie­d by an adult are welcome to attend.
