St. Luke Lutheran Church 35 Wilson Ave. Gilbertsville Christmas Eve: Family Communion service at 7, with a musical prelude at 6:45, and the Candlelight Communion Service at 10 with the musical prelude at 9:30 p.m.
Christmas Day: join us for a Birthday Party for Jesus! The party will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Memorial Hall. The story “Humphrey’s First Christmas,” by Carol Heyer, will bring the message of the morning. All those attending are asked to bring a canned good, or a warm winter scarf, hat, pair of gloves or mittens for our giving tree! There will be no activities during the week of Christmas. The church office is closed Monday, and all committee chairpersons are asked to remember to write their reports for the annual report, and submit it to the office by Dec. 30. Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neiffer Road, Obelisk Christmas Day Worship: The congregations of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and Peace in Zion U.C.C. will hold a joint worship service on Christmas Day at Peace in Zion U.C.C., located at 204 Big Road, Zieglerville. The 8 a.m. service and Sunday School classes at St. Luke’s are cancelled on Christmas Day. The Rev. Paul Chapman is the pastor at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and The Rev. Barbara Pence is the pastor at Peace in Zion U.C.C.
