Boyertown baseball wins state title over Plum, 4-1

The Boyertown baseball team didn’t feature a 1-2 pitching combination in the spring. It was ‘1-1’ all the way with the duo of senior right-hander Andrew Bauer and junior righthander Pat Hohlfeld carrying the Bears to their third PIAA championship in school history and first since 1991 as the Bears defeated Plum 4-1 at Penn State’s Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
