Com­mu­nity in­vited to Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. ser­vice

On Mon­day, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. the Boy­er­town Area com­mu­nity gath­ers to pur­sue the “dream” of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The ser­vice takes place at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gil­bertsville.

The Boy­er­town Area Se­nior High School Show choir di­rected by Jef­frey Brun­ner and the Pine Forge Academy choir led by Dr. An­drew Mar­shall will sing.

Pine Forge Academy Chap­lain Peggy Trusti di­rects a drama by stu­dents from Pine Forge Academy and Boy­er­town area churches, based on this years’ theme, “Cel­e­brat­ing Progress , Re­mem­ber­ing There Is Work To Do.”

Pas­tors from the Boy­er­town area churches will lead the wor­ship.

Ni­cole Hughes the Prin­ci­pal and Head­mas­ter at Pine Forge Academy, and Dr. Richard Fai­d­ley, the Su­per­in­ten­dant of the Boy­er­town Area School Dis­trict will read se­lected pas­sages from Rev. King’s “Let­ter from a Birm­ing­ham Jail”.

An of­fer­ing is re­ceived that sup­ports projects in the Boy­er­town Area that ad­vance the dream of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Re­fresh­ments and fel­low­ship fol­low the ser­vice.

The com­mu­nity is in­vited to at­tend.
