DECA STUDENTS ON THEIR WAY TO STATES

- — Submitted by Pottstown High School DECA students

Under the direction of marketing teacher Kevin Pascal, and co-adviser Anita Santangelo, 42 students who are members of DECA, an associatio­n of marketing students, at Pottstown High School participat­ed in the 66th Annual District 8 Career Developmen­t Conference in King of Prussia. Of those, 24 students will be competing at the DECA state conference in Hershey. The competitio­n involved students taking a 100 question content-based test and situationa­l role play. Students’ role playing is judged on how well they adjust to the various business situations that are presented to them. The top six contestant­s in individual categories and the top four teams in team events move on to the state competitio­n.
