March 19 Worship: Third Sunday in Lent. The adult Bible Study class begins at 8:30a.m. Worship service
begins at 9:30, a.m. Communion will be celebrated. The Senior Choir will be singing singing “Rain Down,” by Cortez/Carter. Following the service, the Reformation 500 Bible Study will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. The Bible Study, “Reformation 500 Study,” will be led by Pastor Donald Nice and Pastor Christian McMullan. Sunday’s study topic is “Luther, the Scholar.”
Tuesday evening: the Cherub Choir will rehearse at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Senior Breakfast Group, Wednesday morning at Saville’s at 8 a.m.
Wednesday: The Community Clothing Rack at St. Luke Church is expanding in its hours provided for people to look for needed clothing. We will now be open the second Thursday evening of each month, from 6-8 p.m., as well as the second, third, and fourth Wednesday afternoons of each month for distribution of clothes from 1-4 p.m. Also, the first Wednesday afternoon of each month will continue to be a drop off day for clothing.
Wednesday: Wednesday night will be our third midweek Lenten service. The soup supper will be held in Memorial Hall from 6-7 p.m. Handbell Choir will rehearse at 6:30, p.m. on Wednesday evenings, and Sr. Choir will rehearse following the midweek Lenten services.

Worship: St. Luke’s Praise Service will be held in the Fellowship Hall on March 19, 2017 led by the praise band, Messenger. The Lenten service on Wednesday, March 22 will be led by the Senior Choir in Holden Evening Prayer. The Rev. Paul Chapman will conduct the 8 a.m. Holy Communion and the 10:15 a.m. Worship Service. Members participating in the 8 a.m. Holy Communion Service: David Semmens, Head Usher; Joyce Brothers, Spencer Brothers, Greeters; and Brendan Greer, Assisting Minister. March 15: The Lenten service on Wednesday, March 15 will be led by the Senior Choir in Holden Evening Prayer.

Worship: the Third Sunday in Lent, 7:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services. Rev. Matthew Ollikainen will lead the congregation in a Holy Communion worship service, present the sermon and the Children’s sermon. John Kochel, Thrivent Financial Representative, will speak to the congregation about Stewardship. Confirmation class will be held at 9:00 a.m. in room I. Sunday School will not be held but children are encouraged to attend one of the services to hear our guest speaker. A coffee hour, hosted by Christian Education, will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the parlor. Adult Sunday School class meets at 9:00 a.m. in room H of the church. Immediately following the 10:15 a.m. service, the first of the First Communion Classes will be held for any child in 4th or 5th grade. This class is led by the Pastor. Shawl Ministry will meet in the parlor. Later that evening at 6:30 p.m., the Good Grief Gathering will be held in the parlor and the Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the social hall.

St. Andrew UMC, 611 Swamp Creek Road, Bechtelsville
April 1: for a night of fun, music and friendly competition, as they seek to help send their teens to serve the city of Philadelphia. On Saturday, April 1st, starting at 6 p.m., St. Andrew will host a talent show and auction to benefit their youth missions & ministries. Doors open for auction registration at 5:30 and there will be live music by a local group called “The Rather Be Band.” There will be both live and silent auction items available to bid on, talent from the church, music and snacks available.
