St. Andrew UMC hosts 11th annual ‘CommUNITY Day’

St. Andrews United Methodist Church is hosting the 11th annual “CommUNITY Day” on Saturday, May 6.

The purpose of “CommUNITY Day” is to show our community the love of Jesus through display of hospitalit­y and the display of various activities provided by St. Andrew throughout the year.

The event is free and open to all ages. Among the features will be new activities such as free blood pressure screenings by Multi-Service, rescue pets available for adoption from Mostly Mutz, demonstrat­ions from the Boy Scouts, and an inflatable obstacle course. Free chicken BBQ and hotdogs will be served from 10:301:30 p.m. There will also be giveaways for clothing and household goods.

Other activities include youth games, arts and crafts, BINGO, music, face and nail painting, free haircuts, and much more. The event will be held from 10-2 p.m. at 611 Swamp Creek Road, Bechtelsvi­lle.

“Community Day brings the church’s variety of ministry opportunit­ies into fuller expression,” said Pastor John Cordes of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. “Furthermor­e, it’s a fun event that continues to grow each year,” added Pastor Cordes.
