A.D. Moyer Lumber purchases Berks Products Building Materials & Millwork Division

A.D. Moyer Lumber recently purchased the Building Materials and Millwork Division of Berks Products, located at 80 Willow Street in Kutztown, PA.

Berks Products was a family-owned company that recently elected to discontinue business operations in the many markets that they have served since the late 1800’s. Over the years, Berks Products provided a wide range of materials and services including heating and cooling systems, ready-mix concrete and paving, crushed stone and masonry supplies, as well as building materials, millwork and engineered roof trusses.

The new A.D. Moyer Lumber, Kutztown location will continue to staff many of the former Berks Products employees in addition to adding new jobs.

Rick Youse, who has been employed by A.D. Moyer since 1974, has transferred from his long-time position as operations manager at the Pottstown location to co-manage the Kutztown location with Todd Cleaver, former Berks Products Millwork division manager. Ben Egolf and Alex Moyer have stepped in to share salesmanagement responsibilities at the Pottstown location.
