Ge­orgina D. Sch­moyer , 87, of Barto

It is with deep sor­row that we an­nounce the pass­ing of Ge­orgina D. (Bau­man) Sch­moyer, 87, of Barto. She was the beloved and de­voted wife of the late Don­ald E. Sch­moyer through 64 years of mar­riage. Ge­orgina passed away on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 7, 2017, sur­rounded by fam­ily mem­bers.

Born in Bally, PA she was the daugh­ter of the late Har­vey and Florence (Mut­ter) Bau­man.

Over her life­time, Ge­orgina held em­ploy­ment at Great Amer­i­can Knit­ting Mills and gave 37 years of ser­vice to Bally Rib­bon Mills, un­til the age of 80 years.

She was a com­pas­sion­ate, lov­ing, and ded­i­cated wife and mother. Af­ter re­tire­ment, some of her fa­vorite past times in­cluded daily walks, read­ing, and as­sem­bling jig­saw puz­zles. Ge­orgina was a life­long mem­ber of Most Blessed Sacra­ment Catholic Church.

She will be re­mem­bered for her kind and gen­tle man­ner, and most cer­tainly for her loy­alty to fam­ily, friends and an­i­mals.

She will be sadly missed by her two daugh­ters, Diane, wife of Ernest Gehman of Boyertown and Jan­ice, wife of Mark Stone of Barto; two grand­chil­dren, Matthew Gehman and wife, Cyn­thia of Bally and Philip Gehman of Barto; 2 great­grand­chil­dren, Brian and Sakura Gehman; and her surviving 3 brothers and 3 sis­ters. Along with her par­ents and hus­band, she is pre­de­ceased by a great­grand­son, Joshua Gehman, 5 brothers and 1 sis­ter.

A memo­rial ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. on Mon­day, Septem­ber 18, 2017 at Mann-Slon­aker Fu­neral Home, 222 Wash­ing­ton Street, East Greenville with Mon­signor Ed­ward J. Coyle of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial fol­lows in Most Blessed Sacra­ment Catholic Ceme­tery. Fam­ily and friends are in­vited to a call­ing hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Mon­day at the fu­neral home prior to the ser­vice. Of­fer sym­pa­thy to the fam­ily at www.mannslon­aker­fu­ner­al­home.com.
