10th an­nual Oktoberfest: The event will kick off Fri­day, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. of­fer­ing a va­ri­ety of beers for ev­ery pal­ette. Wines from the lo­cal area and be­yond will also be of­fered. An as­sort­ment of food ven­dors will be on site to sat­isfy ev­ery per­son’s taste. The event will con­tinue on Satur­day, Sept. 16 start­ing at 11 a.m. with fam­ily friendly en­ter­tain­ment, bev­er­ages, food, craft ven­dors, and chil­dren ac­tiv­i­ties. The event will fi­nally wind down at 9 p.m. Satur­day night. Sept. 16 Break­fast: Bally Mennonite Church, Route 100 in Bally, will be serv­ing a Pan­cake break­fast, in­clud­ing pan­cakes, French

Har­vest Home Sun­day: Huff’s Union Church (540 Con­rad Road, Al­bur­tis) holds its an­nual Har­vest Home wor­ship ser­vice at both 8 and 10:30 a.m. wor­ship ser­vices, with a con­tem­po­rary wor­ship ser­vice at 9 a.m. in the Rohrbach Chapel (across Con­rad Road from the church build­ing) Har­vest Home is an in-gath­er­ing of the bounty of gar­dens, plus do­nated dried or canned goods or pa­per prod­ucts, which will be shared with the Al­len­town Res­cue Mis­sion. The ser­vice fo­cuses on what we have to be thank­ful for, and in­cludes the tra­di­tional PA Dutch dec­o­rat­ing of the wor­ship space (corn stalks tied to sup­port pil­lars in the Sanc­tu­ary, etc.) Sept. 18 AARP: New Hanover AARP meets at the New Hanover Lutheran Church, Lutheran Road, Gil­bertsville.
